Accelerating climate finance solutions for low-carbon, resilient growth in EMDEs

In under three years the program has supported 17 scalable vehicles that have raised $308 million in new commitments since joining the program and unlocked more than $700 million through direct investments and co-funding for climate projects in EMDEs.

This progress further demonstrates that thoughtful de-risking, robust pipeline development, and a well-defined impact thesis can transform A&R opportunities into investable propositions, opening a pathway to mobilize private and philanthropic capital at scale.

While the CC Facility grantees have already begun realizing tangible impact outcomes, significant portfolio potential remains: 16 of 17 vehicles are actively fundraising with an aggregate target of $1.9B, and those that have already secured new investment are in the early stages of deployment. This investment, if fully realized, has the potential to directly translate into large-scale, sustained emissions reduction, ecosystem conservation, and livelihoods outcomes.
