Amazonia Impact Ventures reaches milestone with first investment in Brazil

CC Facility grantee Amazonia Impact Ventures has entered the Brazilian market with a catalytic investment supporting agroforestry and reforestation in the Amazon, marking a significant step in scaling climate- and nature-positive finance.

CC Facility grantee Amazonia Impact Ventures, as featured in Impact Alpha, has reached a new milestone with its first investment in Brazil, supporting Ecotierra’s agroforestry and reforestation project in Roraima. The catalytic USD 200,000 investment helps expand biodiverse agroforestry systems that sequester carbon and create diversified income streams for forest communities, while marking Amazonia’s entry into Brazil and its first step into carbon-linked investments.

Amazonia Impact Ventures was selected as a CC Facility grantee to receive catalytic funding and technical support to scale investments that protect the Amazon and strengthen sustainable livelihoods. Its growing portfolio has supported thousands of smallholder farmers and Indigenous communities, demonstrating how catalytic capital can accelerate climate and nature-positive finance in vulnerable ecosystems.
