Acre Export Finance Fund I, a CC Facility grantee has secured a EUR 15 million equity investment from Proparco, France's development finance institution. Announced at the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, the investment follows Acre Export Finance Fund I's first closing in April 2024 and is expected to mobilize an additional USD 50.6 million for climate-aligned infrastructure across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Selected as part of the CC Facility's grantees in 2023, Acre addresses a persistent gap in Africa's export credit market, financing sovereign-backed infrastructure projects in renewable energy, clean water, sustainable cities, and green transportation.
